Biden trying to convince Americans that $3.5 trillion in spending is free

The Biden administration is trying a new tact for pushing its $3.5-trillion spending package through Congress; the administration is now trying to claim it won’t cost anything.

Monday, Sept. 27, Pres. Joe Biden Tweeted, “My Build Back Better Agenda costs zero dollars.”

After Democrats previously tried to claim that the bill is designed to be paid for, especially considering his additional comments in the Tweet:

“Instead of wasting money on tax breaks, loopholes, and tax evasion for big corporations and the wealthy, we can make a once-in-a-generation investment in working America.

“And it adds zero dollars to the national debt.”

Biden and Democrats have tried to claim that the bill won’t increase the national debt because new taxes will pay for the astronomical spending. They claim that the new taxes will force the rich to “pay their fair share.” But Republicans aren’t buying it.

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) replied to the president with her own Tweets:

“Simple math for President Biden: $3.5 trillion does NOT equal zero.”

In another Tweet, Tenney wrote, “I have to admit, I thought this was a parody account when I first read it. It was disturbing to see it was actually from our President. He thinks he can spend an unprecedented $3.5 trillion and not add a penny to the debt? This is who is in charge? Scary.”

Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) was straight to the point: “This is a lie.”

In the thousands of comments under the president’s Tweet, one respondent pointed out apparent hypocrisy of Biden’s position. Kevindandy1 replied, “… you were in the senate for 47 years. You wrote the loop holes. You wrote the tax laws along with ur fellow senators. (You are) the reason there r tax breaks.”

Republicans have also pointed out that the Government Accountability Office indicates that $1 trillion of funds for COVID-19 relief remain unspent while Democrats are piling on more and more spending.

What does the bill include?

• $726 billion for free child care and tuition-free college
• $322 billion for federal housing
• $265 billion to transform America to ‘Green’ energy
• Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants

What will it cost?

• It will bring the national debt to $45 trillion by 2031
• It will cost each household $27,000 (according to an article in the Washington Examiner)
• It will cost $1,000 per second for the next 111 years (also from an article in the Washington Examiner)
