Dems push socialism while sanctioning harassment of opponents

Biden says progressive bad behavior is “part of the process”

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) was followed into a bathroom by progressive activists, one of whom videoed the confrontation all the way until the senator closed the door to a stall behind her. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was harassed by kayakers outside his D.C. residence.

They’re Democrats facing outrageous behavior from progressive activists because they dared to suggest that the Left’s $3.5 trillion socialist spending plan may prove a trillion or more too much.

As reported in FOX News, Sinema was harassed in the bathroom after closing the door to her stall. The activists are heard accosting her as she flushes the toilet.

In response to the outrageous behavior of activists pushing his spending bill, Pres. Joe Biden gave a lukewarm response about how the behavior is not appropriate. But then he said, it’s “part of the process,” which would seem to condone the behavior, ‘appropriate’ or not.

Sinema is a professor at Arizona State University. It was at the college where she was followed into the bathroom and verbally accosted at a moment when most people would expect respect of the most basic privacy.

The Democrat $3.5 trillion spending package comes on the heels of the $1.2 trillion ‘infrastructure’ bill that was passed by the Senate. That bill is on hold because progressives in the House have demanded that its passage be tied to passage of the larger $3.5 trillion bill.

Republicans have criticized both bills, though the $1.2 trillion bill received 19 Republican votes. But Republican opposition to the $3.5 trillion bill is firm.

The Senate is split 50-50 between the parties (when counting Independents, such as Bernie Sanders, in the Democrat column). That makes Vice President Kamala Harris the tie breaking vote. But, even with reconciliation that would allow a simple majority, if either Sinema or Manchin refuse to vote for the bill, Democrats must sway an equal number of Republicans to create the tie where Harris can prove decisive.

Recently, Biden and Progressives have used the public relations tactic of claiming the bill “won’t cost anything.”

The slight-of-hand comment is based on the claim that the bill will “be paid for.”

Republicans have pointed out that the bill is so loaded with social programs that it will create “cradle to grave” dependency on the government.

The Heritage Foundation points out that the bill will cost each of the “128.5 million households in the United States” $27,000. Put another way, the bill will cost “$1,000 per second for 111 years straight.” And, adjusted for inflation, the bill will cost much more, such as was the case with the 1992 Interstate Highway System bill of $543 billion that would up costing $2.9 trillion.
